Was playing one of my guitars, directly through the amp. I put it down, still plugged in and the amp power on, went away for 2 mins max, came back and there was no sound coming through the amp when I played. Plugged another guitar in and it was fine... Could it have been a power surge? And what would it have damaged?

maybe a coincidence.. Try checking over your wiring and pup resistances. Hope it wasn't the hollowbody ?

Also try checking the connection on the output jack and take it out to make sure that it's making proper contact with the jack cable ?

ah ok. anything to do with wiring is hell on a hollowbody..

Thanks guys - must have been loose wiring somewhere, cos I took out the output jack, saw the wiring was all soldered fine and that it was making contact - tried it out and still nothing. Screwed everything back in and it worked! Will look into it again, but for now its working - much appreciated ?
