Featuring Wayne Pauli on guitar along with Simon Orange, Rob Stemmet and Dale Collins live at the Bloemendal Bush
Fresh from their successful stint at the US Woordfees backing such blues luminaries as Albert Frost, Jan Blohm and Gerald Clark, this quartet of blues stalwarts are heading for the Bloemendal Bush on Saturday 9 April 2011 and taking their unique approach to the blues with them.
Wayne Pauli (vocals, lead guitar), Simon Orange (vocals, keyboards), Rob Stemmet (bass) [img]http://
[/img]and Dale Collins (vocals, acoustic guitar, drums) present a blues show that offers variety, creativity and intrigue covering a host of blues tunes seldom performed in public while revealing a fresh take on those blues standards loved by all. A sprinkling of originals will be thrown in for good measure. Experience firsthand how songs by Peter Greene, Dr John and Jace Everett are seamlessly woven into the blues fabric created by Robert Johnson, John Lee Hooker and Sonny Boy Williamson. Watch out for some country blues ala Johnny Cash as well as powerful renditions of compositions by Hendrix and even The Beatles.
Tickets are only available at the door and gates open at 1 30pm. Couvert charge is pegged at a reasonable R40 per person. The renowned Bloemendal hospitality will include a full bar and food stalls. All you have to bring with you is your deckchair for an unforgettable blues experience in the beautiful Bloemendal Bush, arguably the most unique and stunning outdoor stage in South Africa.
See you there.
