I still don't get them. The first album was pretty much the same on every track. Is the second album better?
The second album is definitely better! Much more dynamic sounding. They go from the usual folky stuff to some pretty bluesy sounding riffs in theyr song 'Dust Bowl Dance" and then even do a superb cover of "The Boxer" with Jerry Douglas and Paul Simon. They've also got some slower songs in between.
Lyrically they're brilliant! ?
If you like them you should check out bands like the Lumineers, Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeroes, Noah and the Whale, Bon Iver, The Head and the Heart, Ben Howard, The Decemberists, The Avett Brothers and, one of my favourites at the moment, Of Monsters and Men ?

I believe the Mumfords are responsible for a major spike in banjo sales.
Yes they are... I almost got one recently because of their music ?
I still want one ?
