A little bit limited by the fact that the HD300 doesn't have a loop (you have to look at the HD400 or 500 for that), so you'd be limited to putting the POD in the GT's loop and using it only for amp sims and the occasional effect or two. The effects in the HD do sound good though... Typically not as editable as the Boss effects though.
You might as well look at the HD500. Judging by the US prices, the price jumps between the models in the range aren't too steep.
