Hi guys,
I have a guy that wants to sell some mic's and, with my lass being a vocalist I thought i'd set her up with his deal as the price is ok-ish imo.
None the less, the guy is selling 2x Shure mic's and doesnt want an arm and a leg for them.
Now, I've asked him to supply me with some form of proof-of-authenticity as I dont wanna step into the fong-kong trap. However, he cannot seem to provide me with anything except the sales slip.
Anyone know what to ask for here??

SM58's are the vocal mic's.
Ask him if you can throw it against the wall, if it still works it's probably a SM58

The general rule is if the prices look too good to be true, they probably are too good to be true. ?
The Shure website has a guide to recognising fakes, educate yourself on what to look for and never buy sight unseen. Otherwise, just buy new and be sure that you have the real thing.
