Any collectors here or owners of great/rare/beautiful watches. I have always admired intricate and fascinating watches but never been rich enough to afford a collection of my own. I often go into these speciality shops ( worlds finest watches in sandton city ) and the like and just admire open jawed or surf ebay to see what ppl own and are selling. If i see ppl with interesting watches i even talk about em ..guess i got a watch fetish. ? one day when i win lotto i start a collection.

These days i have noticed a resurgence of ppl wearing watches ,even though we have the time readilty available all around us there seems to be more n more ppl wearing watches ....

I've also always really liked fancy watches. There are some incredible pieces out there with some awesome technology. Especially the limited and rare pieced. Awesome stuff. There was an article in the Popular Mechanics a few months ago.

Friend of mine is a keen collector.
I would not mention the total of his collection, but he could by a few valve stacks and pro guitars ?

My personal opinion is that I could never justify wearing a R50k watch.
would scratch it in a day ?

I own a couple, only one worth talking about is a Seiko Premier Kinetic Direct Drive. Not a high end Swiss watch. but better than most Swiss watches twice it's price.
