Hi Guys

I see quite a few posts in relation to what the best method of shipping items is.

For me the best has been MDS Collivery www.collivery.co.za. Everything is done via their online website and you get an instant 30 day account when you sign up with them.

Next Day door to door delivery is about R 65 (for a package under 2kg) and I have never had any problems with them.

Please note that I am in no way affiliated with them, I am just a happy client. Much less hassle than Speed Services where you have to go and deliver the parcel to them and get your customer to collect (if it arrives).

Give them a try!

We use them almost on a weekly basis ....... they are the best!!!

Wow, I've just been stuffed around by these guys hectically...

I bought a guitar from a forumite and scheduled collection for Monday and delivery today.

They decided it would suit them to collect on Tuesday which meant I had to change the collection address, days off and all that. I appreciate that Clint had Monday off which would have suited MDS better to collect from his house. But because of this they had to go to his work which still meant my guitar could get to me today.

They rocked up yesterday with a motorbike.... OMW..

so after a nice moan they say we'll get it sorted. THEN I get a mail saying it will be delivered tomorrow... what. the. hell?

Ok so they would collect this morning... do you think they did? Not. a. feck.

If they had just flipping done it on Monday I would be jamming my new guitar now.. but Nooooooo....

So this is one helluva week after finding out my bank card was cloned and I was cleaned out. sigh...

That's a bad one Don. I can relate 'cos the same thing happened to my wife 2 weeks ago.
4000 rand up and vanished from her account.
Still hounding Standard Bank.

Out of curiosity, hope you've filed a claim at your bank.

I claimed at the bank. Apparently it takes 25 days to get a refund.

ha ha, you're officially a bastard.... ? nothing is for sale... although there is a new guitar I might be keen on...

...... and I would agree, that would really piss me off something serious too. Not acceptable!!!

We booked a collection from you on Friday, they collected on time. We asked for it to be delivered before 4:00pm on Monday. Well, just after 9:00am Monday the parcel was in my hands.

Ja normally they are outstanding.

I got them to agree to deliver it tomorrow.
but....

They collected just before 4 (it should have been in Durban by now) then I got an email saying the parcel exceeds the 2kg max for an envelope (after giving dimensions) and that my price is now more than double what I was originally quoted.

Naturally I replied stating in no uncertain terms that I will not pay for their complete balls up but alas they probably sent it just before shutting down so I will only get to chat to them tomorrow morning again.

Ok I just got a call from Riaan from MDS and he has sorted out the cost issue.

I am quite sad it came to this because, as stated before, they are very good.

So, NGD for me tomorrow. ?
