I have to thank guidopimp for this one, I was on leave and the interwebs was the last thing on my mind, but he spotted this one on the junkmail for a damn fine price and dropped me a line, I wasn't really in the market for another guitar until I saw it in the flesh and read up about it a bit more. I always wanted a daily player that had all the balls of my RG470, but without the single pick up. This ballsy guitar has twin actives which are okay, but I'll no doubt be swapping them out for a set of passive SD's. I'll replace the AA's tonight and see if I like the actives a bit more, but at this stage, their days are numbered.....lol.
This guitar is as near mint as can be. 3 months old and the bonus was that it came with an Ibanez moulded case which is a beaut. The finish on this baby is perfect, the stained mahog is gorgeous. I love the binding on the neck and it's got that look that won't age. I have actually been looking for an RG 321 since the beginning, but was always spending my money on other things...lol. The Gibraltar bridge is what I was after as many of the hardtail Ibby's have the cheaper bridge set-ups on them.
Plans?
It needs a set up bad, action towards the top frets is a tad too high for my liking. I don't think that any sort of set up has been done. The strings on it are a bit nasty and I'll no doubt be replacing those soon. Besides that?.................I'm over the moon. It's a stunner.
