OK... another gear specific love-in. Let's see pictures of your flat top acoustics - steel string, hole more or less in the middle. No arch-tops, no nylon strings, no f-holes, no resonator guitars.... we can start other threads for those.
I'll kick off.
On the left my Larrivee LV-05. Honduras mahogany back and sides. Tusq nut, bone saddle.
On the right my Morgan OMR. Indian rosewood. I had a new saddle and nut cut from Warthog tusk. The original graphtec pieces are in the case.
Both have Sitka spruce tops, gotoh tuners and are fitted with a LR Baggs "Dual Source" pickup/mic combination. Both have mahogany necks with ebony fingerboards. Both have ebony bridges. The Morgan has ebony bridge pins (though currently they're put aside for safe keeping and I have a set of graphtech pins in there).
Detail of the larry - you can see the lovely reddish-brown mahogany and the maple bindings.
The back of the Morgan. Lovely chocolate brown rosewood. This guitar has cocobolo bindings.
The Morgan is now in it's 9th year, the Larry in it's 8th. The Larry is starting to get that great mid-range mahogany growl. The Morgan is darker in tone and a little more complex.
Both have a 25 1/2 scale and are 1 3/4 inches wide at the nut.
I'd like to get some better quality photos of these. Must get snapping. I can't get a shot that conveys the richness of the Morgan's top which is aging beautifully.
