I had a look at that RG, and while it is beautiful, it has a floating bridge, which I'm not too keen for. Don't wanna make my life complex this early in the game
Welcome. I think you'd find that whatever gear is yours, you'll quickly get used to its quirks. Restringing will be a little harder, but you'd get the hang of it.
Thats true, the issue I have is the price bracket of guitar I'm looking at (R3000 - R4500) tends to have crappy tremelo/floating bridges. The ibanez RG370 looks great, but I hear to many bad things about the edge III system that it comes with. Same issue with the cort EVL k6, heard that the metal is budget and they still go out of tune. I think it'd just be easier if I go with hard tail. And also, I wanna experiment with down tunings, which means even more time if I have a floating bridge, because of the locking system
Er... my technical understanding of guitars is rather limited as I'm only really learning about all these things now, so if I've misunderstood something please don't grill me... hehe
