heads up re..... jap fender strat late 80's in pta store ....obviously 2nd hand

hi ya all, i know how popular the 80's fender jap built strats are ... i was in king louis music store in pta (012 3290444) today and the owner showed me the guitar and i played it a bit ...... a real gem in my eye's and it plays really well and sounds like a strat should...... ? but not a guitar i could use for jazz so i'm not interested in it at all just passing on that it is there ............. the asking price at moment is 5K which i think includes a hard case . (but don't hold me to the case included for 5K....if i recall he said that but i could be wrong ) re the 5K price tag who knows how negotiable he is..........

also i'm in no way affiliated to this store or this guitar so purely a heads up for the strat fans who lust after affordable jap 80's models.........

oh and it's white in colour ........

and yes it has wear on it , it's over 20 odd years old ( think he said it was an 87 or 89 model ) but nothing that would put me off it if i wanted a strat .

pity it wasn't a thinline tele or i woulda bought it there and then ........ if anyone knows of any thinline tele's going 2nd hand please pm me...........

That sounds like a fantastic opportunity. You can check out the serials of the early eighties Japanese Strats for comparison. There are lists for the googlin'.
