Squier Alnico pickups = tonerider ??

Hi I would just like someone to confirm or deny that the pickups used in squier standard and up is actually toneriders or made in the tonerider factory...(this is the rumour all over the web)
as I was thinking of upgrading my pickups to toneriders but it would be pointless if it allready got them

might be made in the same factory but doubt its the same pickups....

i reckon we would be suprised how many different brands are actually made in one factory with differnt components and packaging...

i changed the pups in my squier to toneriders - HUGE diffs in tone afterwards....

admitedly my squier is a mid 1990's made in korea, so probably long before tonerider were about.

NOT Toneriders. Made in the same factory as the Toneriders, that's all.

Actually the only Squier guitars that have pickups made by Tonerider/ in the Tonerider factory are the Squier Classic Vibe series - and their pickups sound great. All other Squiers use generic made in China pickups or Duncan Designed (the Vintage Modified series).
