Very cool Squonk. Out of her flower-child phase and into her smoky-voiced jazzy phase. Always so much better than all the "singer-songwriter" copyists that have followed her. Such a confident guitar player - but always as accompaniment.

I fell in love with Joni in the 70's especially when she stared working with Jaco Pastorius, Pat Metheni, Wayne shorter. Her lyrics are soul cutting and her rhythms are always unique. Some of my favourite albums are from that period. Blue, Don Juan's Reckless Daughter, The Hissing of Summer Lawns, Mingus and Wild Things Run Fast.
