Sound engineering course (Part-time)

costafonix

Do you know of anyone who offers part-time sound engineering courses in Jhb? I have a couple of Cubase training DVD's and I've learned quite a lot from just fooling around with the stuff, but I'm sure I would benefit from a professional course with perhaps a lot more hands-on training.

well, you can do the course at ase?!
Part time is on a monday, tuesday and wednesday from 6 to 9pm if i remember correctly!
If there are any others though, i would like to know, because i would love to know about it...
Because im working at those times, i cant do the ase course ☹

Ooooh, this is something I'd be interested in doing, if only to get an idea of what to do with software like Reaper to get things to sound right. Anything like this available in Durbs that anyone knows of?

Hey guys,

There is a few places you can go for short courses in Sound Engineering, however Ill put a door stop in one place about this. It depends highly on what you actually want to do, ASE is great BUT that 3 month part time course is very basic, then Cape Audio College is awesome and I wish I studied there (I went to ASE), its unlucky in the Cape.

What do you guys actually want to learn? Ill direct you to the right place then.

Reason Im saying this: These short courses are normally the very basics, this is a mic, this is a cable and dont do this cause it will hurt you... thats about it really.
