Introduction

Hi,

I am 25 yr old drummer/guitarist.

I received formal piano education in primary school - needless to say I didn't enjoy it much since it was forced but I did get a good theoretical background. I have been playing guitar for about 10 years and was in an informal jam band for about 2 years. I started playing drums to expand my musical horizons. I have been playing drums now for about a year and a half.

Skill level is a relative concept - I am expert in my style but my style may be considered as intermediate if you like technical guitar solos ? I'm lazy and prefer to play minimalist tunes and don't like to do effort to pull of complicated things if it is not going to add anything to the 'coolness' of the sound - why sprain your wrist to play full chord if power chord in drop-D with one finger sounds the same? Skill on drums is still beginner.

I enjoy listening to Pink Floyd and Coldplay but my guitar playing style sounds closer to System of a Down and some people have commented that it has a bit of Fantasy Metal in it.

My drumming style is pretty much undefined still. I like to listen to Mitch Mitchell (Jimmy Hendrix Experience), the Pixies. When jamming on my own I like playing what I like to call 'attempt at jazz' because 4-4 beats gets dull quickly on your own. When jamming with buddies I play more alternative rock beats.

Gear include Yamaha G245S acoustic guitar, SX 'custom handmade' (mass produced in japan) fender strat knockoff, Crate GT212 amp, and Premier Cabria drumkit.
