FruitarGeek The time is coming soon when I'm gonna make an order from them, now I know the whole free shipping thing for items over $400, so thats exactly what Im gonna do. Just outta interest, and good sport really. If your cut off was between $400 and $450 what units would you buy? So far, for myself, Im gonna probs go with the EH reverb, Boss Volume, and that leaves me about $120 to spend on something else. Maybe the Lovepedal Tiny Overdrive. hmmmm
FruitarGeek What is everyone's fascination with a white coily cable? I hear they just bad for your tone
MikeM Whoever told you that isn't as wise as you think. Got a super bright guitar and wanna knock some treble off? Use a coily. Also its iconic, some super awesome players used em so most people see them as cool
MIKA-the-better-one I use Bullet coily cables.. and I love them, They are way better than most cables I have tried. So whoever said that coily cables are bad they lied..... Plues gearmandude uses them, what is cooler than that..... Now to the proguitar question.... Assuming you have $120 left, get a nice drive or boost. Barber LTD, maybe
Sebber FruitarGeek wrote What is everyone's fascination with a white coily cable? I hear they just bad for your tone Jimi used one. Some people prefer cables with higher capacitance, it's not so much tone-suck as tone-change.
FruitarGeek Funnily enought. The person who told me they are bad, is a sales rep at a Music store ( I wont mention names). Well it looks like Im def gonna place my order soon. No Barber for me, they just aint my thing. They are waaaay to transparent. Im actually considering the HOG (its more than a consideration actually).
MIKA-the-better-one I would never trust no slaes representataive in am music store, actually really I would not, because I always feel they are trying to justify not having certain things in stock, with the statement "its bad" or this is better and by the way more expensive.... Coily cables, are by far my favourite, when i take mine away, my whole setup is WAY to bright and annoying
FruitarGeek Oh I see. Well definitly something for me to try out in the future. I actually put in my order already, so excited, its a bit over the $400 but it well worth it: EH Reverb, BOSS Volume, EH HOG and Digitech Looper :woohoo:
