Hey, i love pinch harmonics too..and i used to practise that stuff all over the fretboard and it took me a few weeks to perfect it..and i felt like this shit hot player because i could nail pinch harmonics anywhere on the fretboard...
The feeling didn't last too long, when i saw guys sweeping and tapping all over the place...
Moral of the story : You keep learning and you have to keep raising the bar for yourself, in order to become an awesome guitar player
And the philosophy behind it is that "Metal Kicks Ass!" but every needs to broaden their horizon to become a better musician. My ultimate goal, as a musician, is that i should be able to play to the best of my abilities in any musical situation...
