SA vs Windies - Botha gets Gayle in 1st over

giggsy

Great start - well done Smith for mixing things up. Gayle could have won the game single handedly

Yeah great start...

We should blow the windies over (No pun intended)
I am quietly confident in this world cup... I have money on it ?

So keen to see Tahir this world cup. Think we have everything covered

Gayle goes out cheaply more often than he takes the bowling to the cleaners.

But then, as eny fule kno, Donald Bradman only got a ton every third time he batted.

Also waiting to see Tahir - bowled well in domestic cricket, but thats against lower batsmen, but also on wickets not prepared for spin. Going to be interesting

On the subject of Tahir... what do you guys think about his inclusion in the squad? I'm in two minds - I think that the rules for any sport should be simple, i.e, you can only play for the country where you were born. Simple as that. But then you see all these South Africans playing for other teams (out of the 210 players at the WC, 25 are South African-born, and in all fairness, apart from Collingwood, SAand Morgan who is Irish, carry the English batting line-up), so if everybody else is doing it, why cant we?

raithza

we're working hard today...

giggsy

Excellent Raithza! Hope that fridge is fully stocked with :goodtimes:

Botha still chucks... haha ?

So Tahir gets his first wicket - good caught and bowled - after a pretty expensive second over

You should have heard the cheering from elsewhere down the corridor. Not much work getting done today ?

giggsy

And maybe his second, pending a review...

Tahir takes 4 for 41 in 10... nice....

giggsy

Very impressed by him - and he could have had 5 if he didnt drop that pretty easy return catch...
