Hmmm ok this is honestly the first time I've joined an online community or forum ? so hi, my name is Thorsten and i've been playing guitar for about 7 and 1/2 years. I love metal, from stoner metal like opeth to melodic to simply brutal (bloodbath). But i also love the old school stuff like ZZTop and Deep Purple etc. Been focusing heavy on my lead capabilities over the last year, but all in all just love playing. Currently busy with a cover band because the money is good but hope to start an original project early next year.

I live ESP guitars, and currently play on a ESP LTD MH-1000, I love seymour duncan pickups, they simly rock. Don't have much in terms of amplification (Ibanez Valbee ?) but it does it's job. Dream Amp....MESA Dual Rect or Hughes and Kettner Switchblade. Hmmm lots of money. And the gt8 is currently my source of effects. What do i think about it? It's useful but for live performances i prefer stomp boxes. No matter what you do, FX-Pedals always sound a bit digital. Anyway thats me. Later

Which ones do you use? Strangely enough, While I've owned many Duncans over he years, I don't have anything with them in at the moment. Considering getting some of the new P-rails to try sometime, although what would I put them in?

So are you using the Valbee live and micing up? Or do you just DI from the GT8?

FX-Pedals always sound a bit digital.

Hmph. I'll leave that one for now - we can come to blows another time... ?

Hey guys, well the axe comes with the SD JB (Bridge) and the 59 (Neck). Really like them. Was going to put them into my Epiphone goth but ended up putting the SD Dimebag Darrell pickup in the bridge position. So when i was looking for a new guitar a found the mh1000. it had the pickups i wanted and other features i like, like the 25.5" neck scale etc. Nah for the cover gigs i just go straight from the gt8, less equipment to lug around (not that the valbee is big ?) and the sound is good. As for the digital vs. analogue thing...see you in the forums! ? the new line6 multifx is another story though...really wanna give it a try.

Shit didn't know you had the MH 1000.

I co-produced a band with a guitarist that brought that in, and it sounded REALLY good but just didn't really compliment his playing style though, which meant extra hours of re-takes making him play harder ?

Yeah i love it. It's the first guitar i've been 100% happy with. Not that there aren't other guitar i want, but this one does it's job. And it's sooooo light!!

haha well it used to be blue, now it's a hybrid of blue and black cigarette burns. yeah that is what happens after a few beers and no ashtray at a jam session. ?
