Hi guys

I ordered a TC Electronics nova system. Thought i'd share some info.

Nova System Features

* NDT™ - Nova Drive Technology: All-analog programmable
overdrive and distortion circuit under preset and expression control.
* 6 effect blocks taken straight from G-System:
o Compression
o EQ + Noise Gate
o Modulation
o Pitch
o Delay
o Reverb
* 30 factory and 60 user presets
* Two footswitch layouts: preset and pedal
* Hi-Z and balanced input + balanced stereo outputs
* Optional G-Switch for added control

Im really hoping for it Zark! I know TC is the best but ive never heard them in real life, only on youtube. Reckon its gonna sound lekker with my Fender guitar and amp?

I have never heard better quality modulation and time-based effects than my G-System. The Nova system should be identical in quality. I hope the Nova's going to be easier to setup but I'm reasonably sure it will be. TC Electronic gear rocks both for quality of tone/fx and build quality. I think you're going to love it!

Awesome, i just hope the drive / distortion will also be up to scratch, my fender does not have nice drive.

The G-System is amazing, just waaaay to pricey!

I'm sure you'll be happy with the drive. I'm using the TCE Nova Drive with my GS. I think thats basically what the Nova System has built in. It offers excellent Overdrive and distortion or a combo of the two... Very high quality OD imo...

I've got one of these.. ? Takes a while to figure out how to use it, like a mini spaceship.. But once you get it, it's a pretty sweet pedal! ?

OK, so i gots it. Whoever said the drive etc was crap, does not know what they talking about it. Got a nice FAT distorion dialed in atm!

Delay sounds lekker.

Modulation - Not sure about yet ...

Ignore them. It's basically the Nova Drive, which I'm very happy using. Overdrive is basically a Sparkle Drive (AKA TS with the ability to blend in the clean bypass with the drive) and distortion is a Rat with treble and bass circuit instead of the usual filter. Not much you can't do with that combo. IIRC, the one thing you can't do with the Nova System drive that you can with the Nova Drive is stack the two together (and parallel the two).

Modulation - Not sure about yet ...

The modulation and delays are very good, but a little pristine for some people's tastes (i.e. those who like a lot of "character" FX like the EHX stuff). The modulated delays are wonderful.

Yeah i saw that about the drive. Its not the end of the world tho. The Rat is an awesome pedal!

Im no expert on delays and modulations, will get my playing ability back and start playing around with them!

I cant play at all, will take some time to get back into it :'(

I look forward to sharing some patches with you Francis! When you get some nice user presents, put em up here, I'll do the same.. I haven't used mine in months, been lying in the cupboard.. But will pull it out and try it out hopefully soon! ?
