Your favourite effect chain?

At the moment, my personal favourite sound that I use for most of my practising, is a defretter, a slight flange and a touch of delay or reverb, depending on what I'm doing. No distortion or funky pre-amp sims and whatnot.

The defretter on my GT-6 give a very warm, humbucker-type sound, and takes the edge off the attack.

What about you guys?

My GT-6 has pickup sims on FX1 one which sort of do the same thing, your Tenner should have the same if not better. On the GT-6 it chows an FX slot though which then can't be used by the compressor effect (which is also on FX1). It's the only thing about the GT-6's design which I find frustrating. And the size/placement of the Exit button, that one wasn't thought through properly.

I've only dabbled in the defretter so far. It looks good, i was expecting total fretless bass sounds though but i see its got potential. ?

Guitar -> overdrive pedal -> driven amp -> delay in effects loop -> easy peasy

I suppose this is the garden variety way of using a valve amp. Need over the top? step on pedal. Need clean? Turn down volume on guitar.

Cthulhu only knows. It's one of the fx on the GT that's supposed to simulate fretless basses and whatnot. But to get a fretless bass sound you need to use that plus the pitch shifter effect.
