Hey Guys I was just wondering where do you guys get your Instrument, speaker and patch cables from? Which brand do people use? Which are the best? (In your opinion) I recently ordered some planet waves patch cables, read some good reviews. Look forward to hearing from you guys! Peace

I have Nutriks that must be going on 20 years now and probably on their fourth set of cables. I tried some angled Amphenol jacks recently, which are nice - lightweight, fairly compact and relatively inexpensive, but nowhere near as solid as the Neutriks (the strain relief in particular).

Cables I usually go for Mogami or Canare. I prefer Canare for longer guitar cables as it's a little warmer sounding and has less triboelectric noise (microphonics). Unfortunately I haven't been able to get Canare for quite a while. The Mogami sounds a little clearer with more high end (especially with longer lengths), but picks up a little more noise.

The best sounding cables I have are a pair of 3M long cables I made with Carver cable and Neutrik jacks - but they are too short and way too stiff for live use. They are also directional and I haven't colour-coded the plugs, so too easy to get them reversed in a live situation.

I do hear good things about Klotz, but I'll reserve judgement until I try some myself.

My Favorite cable ATM is a Klotz Titanium with Neutrik Jacks that was given to me. Super transparent tone wise.

The only problem I had with it was the Neutrik "Silent" RA Jack that went faulty on me and I replaced it with a regular Neutrik RA jack.

BTW The one Neutrik Jack I don't like is the RA Silent jack...not very reliable IMO as I've had to replace each one I've had after about 6 months of use. for the price that they are they are not worth the money spent.
