In a strange way, I have to agree with Mika on what he said, except I can go one futher and say:

Zebra and Giraffe are sell outs who rely heavily on the money they were given to make it big (and sound good) = 0 points.

I stopped going to ramfest after the 3rd ramfest.

it was lots of fun, i cant remember that i watched any bands. ?

Mario. If you only paying R250 for Ramfest then GO. For the amount of bands you will see it will be well worth it. It will be an experience you have to do at some point.

But if not look out for OppiKoppi, Rocking the Daisies and Synergy, all massive festivals

Yeah, but remember, the Jhb act is one full day, the CT act is over 3 or 4 days I think, I also thought it was a bargain, considering the international acts and all the local acts. Now I have to get cracking 'coz I have 5 projects to be handed in on the Monday after RAM :-[

Just my 2cc but I think any lineup that has FFAF and Alkaline Trio on the bill is pretty strong. From what I've read/heard their live shows are awesome. plus the Metal 4 Africa stage- needless to say I'm going. see y'all in the pit.

i was at the cape town one, Not My Dog and Knave owned the show, alkaline trio and ffaf were ok, not my kinda music, i didnt watch zebra but i heard they were terrible on the night, they played better at Killers, I thought isochronous were pretty cool, but the M4A stage was the highlight of this Ramfest, loads of top class metal acts. oh and Van Coke were pretty good on the night, had some rad visuals and a very cool show. guitarist had an awesome night, i am also not a fan but i can admit they did have a great show.
