Stupid question - Abbreviations

Right, I've been trying not to look like an idiot, but it's driving me crazy! Help a poor guy out here... :-\

I know what GAS means, but what does it stand for?
And what on earth is IMO / IMHO?

I've been banging my head into the desk trying to figure such things out. Guess I'm not as smart as I hoped ?

IMO = In My Opinion,
IMHO = In My Humble Opinion....
GAS is an infection....its like an itch that needs to be scratched.... ?

hahaha, that's what I always thought it stood for, but I'll join you in the search for knowing what GAS stand for

I still maintain if you simply buy everything you want, GAS isn't a problem. ?

I actually posted that first and then edited it to "Acquiring" after i googled "acquisition" and it seemed it applied mostly to taking over businesses so i changed it over for the fear of someone going "it's "acquiring" jeeeez" but it seems it happened anyway ?

Agh who cares. Not like we're going to find the term in the dictionary ? Gear Acquisition, Gear Acquiring, Gear Addiction they all get the message across imo ? (Except Gear Addiction maybe, there is a bit of redundancy there with the Syndrome ending).

Hahahaha VellaJ. I love this. To be honest when I first joined the forum couple months back, I had no idea what these guys were on about with all the GAS, and IMO etc. So I googled it. HAHAHAHAHAHA

Aha! thanks guys! That clears it up somewhat... IMHO (see what I did there? ? ) I think a post needs to be permanently in place so that us noobs know whats going on with these abbreviations ?
