Probably not a funny song - although amusing with some quirky lyrics ('Youre Celtic ... United ... but, baby Ive decided, you're the best team I've ever seen' 8)) - is You're in My Heart You're in my Soul by Rod Stewart. Great singalong chorus, essentially an accoustic song and should resonate with Rotary Club age group. Not sure of the format and age-group of your function, but based on my experience of local Rotary functions my concern is that your set-list may be a bit too contemporary. YIMHYIMS should even the set out nicely era-wise.

In the end, I went for Brent's posted cover of "Just The Way You Are" which went really well.

On a sadder note, I butchered the odd other classic but people are forgiving. ?

Riaan: you were spot on with the crowd age thing, but I didn't have much time to adjust the set so I just went with what I had.

Not too bad overall, not accustomed to performing on my own, was good for me.
