Nope, pretty much sure it's plain ol' shutter lag. Doesn't matter what the ISO is. Higher ISO will help with getting a less blurrier pic in low light. What you can try do is get focus lock before you press the shutter completely - that way everything is already "locked in" when you do push the shutter all the way. Might help, might not. My solution is, still, to buy a better camera ?
Correct RobK...... higher end cameras, less lag. I've two Nikon D200s for a few years now, and my AF lenses are like lightning fast, and virtually zero shutter lag! So the better the model, you should not have any noticeable lag......
But with "mik and druk", a different story. I have a Fuji Finepix HS10 which we use for holidays, etc, which does have half second lag on single frame shots, but I've learnt to deal with that. And I'm happy with my pics..
