Hey, I recently bought a broken metal muff from a guy in claremont for R100. It really doesn't work anymore, so now im looking to build it into a splitter box with the parts. Anyone out there clued up enough to do something like this for me? I got the material, hopefully most of it from the metal muff, so essentially it would be someone's time and knowledge.
I've also read the link posted about building your own power box. Anyone got some info on that? is it worth exploring? I would still go for Voodoo Labs, seems like everyone is quite stoked with that.
anycow, jumping around a bit.
thanks in advance

AFAIK, you won't be able to use anything on the board - it's all SMD. So you'll be limited to the box and the switch.

ag balls! :-\
ok, how complicated would it be for someone with no real electronic knowledge to make? would i be able to keep the pots or should they be replaced as well.
How I'm thinking about this is as follow:
guitar -> comp -> splitter box -> (direct out) -> splitter box return 1 ->dry/wet mix -> amp
-> effects chain -> splitter box return 2
would this be as all possible in one boxed unit?
kind regards

Should be possible. simple buffered output and a two input mixer. PM Matt Allison (Matta on this forum) to enquire if he can help - he does high quality custom builds and is happy to build his circuits inside other boxes.
