Ray Now why dont you go for the rc-30? I was interested to see that it is rated in the top 10 guitar effects products at Namm 2011. Also a Vox looper in there. http://www.musicradar.com/news/guitars/the-10-best-guitar-tech-products-of-namm-2011-360967
FruitarGeek This is much more useful, I may even consider getting it. Although if you ask me, the Digitech Jamman solo has what this pedal has, so I think BOSS is a little slow on the catching up

raithza What are the major differences between the RC-2 / RC-3? More loops, usb, stereo? I've been thinking of getting a looper to have something to jam along with and practice improvisation... so if someone wants to upgrade to RC-3 ?
IceCreamMan Just scored myself this rc 3 thingy...having played in early 80's these things did not exist , and having picked up the guitar a year or 2 ago i was ignorant of such technology until i went to a fellow forumites house on saturday and was gobsmacked at the capability of these looper stations /pedals so much so that i had to have one ......so aye got one following my ad in the classifieds for a great price and its like brand new. looking forward to reading the rather large manual and watched a couple of vids on youtube and it seems perfect. BTW, i am seriously impressed with the Boss pricing in ZA ...new prices for the RC 3 and RC30 are 199 and 299 dollars (street) and 165 and 249 pounds in the UK and around 177 euro in Belgium. I was quoted around 1600 and 2400 for the RC3 and RC30 respectively which puts the price at bang on the US street price and under the UK pricing. So , who owns the RC3 and what are your experiences
BobC Yeah, these loopers have a bit of a learning curve, but once you get them going you don't need any more mates..... ? I've had to relearn how to use my RC-20 twice but each time I do, it has me giggling like a toddler who just discovered Tellytubbies..... Great practice tools, for one, and I can see some real creative potential in them as well (of course others have already realized this potential, but I'm a bit slow OK) Most will have seen this pretty popular demonstration of live looping....... =
