Well as my sig will show, my main instruments are my Fender Precision 50s Replica ("Fiesta Red" aka superGay orange) and a Baja Telecaster that I'm awaiting delivery of.

I plan on replacing the Gold pickguard with a Tortoise shell one, Paladino style~ (Just because I worship the man doesn't mean I'm copying him k? ?)

My Ashdown Little Bastard (UK made, number 88 of 100 made)

Excuse the large image. 30 Watt all valve Bass amp. AMAZING tones <for Rock/Blues, not the best for some of the other styles I play (Motown/Funk/Soul) but I can get close enough with my P Bass)

My "pedals of standardness"

Nothing exciting, really. The tuner and OD pedal are only about 2/3 weeks old, and the tuner is already giving problems (the positive part of the jack doesn't make proper contact with the input female, either gonna open it up and fix it myself, or take it back and moan for an hour)

Strap wise I have a Mono Comfort strap, with Dunlop strap locks. Never realised how uncomfortable my old strap was till I got this ?

Bought a Focusrite Saffire 6 USB PC-Audio Interface, though waiting on my new Windows machine to use it <No Linux support for it>

I'm also looking at buying a Orange Terror 500 Watt Bass amp head, or something in similar price/quality/power range, though I haven't really found one that matches the tone I get.

There's an old 60s Jazz Bass standing in my room back at my parents house in CT that needs some SERIOUS restoration (frets, pickups, wiring, tuning heads etc etc), but that will be my little project when I return to CT in July. Should be very worthwhile.

That's not the only problem, dude - your tuner pedal also appears to have a raging case of dandruff. I'd get that sorted out if I were you...

Either that or the pedal is using Colombian marching powder, hence why it is giving you problems.

Now, as a side note.... and please don't take this the wrong way... but your big toe makes those pedals look smaller? I am well endowed in the foot department myself and my feet (and hands) make my gear look like I play a ukelele through a cellphone...

I've met Donovan and I can tell you that those things they say about men with big feet are true.

His sandals really are enormous.

Ye I definitely will post pics of the J Bass. I'm not a huge Jazz fan, but I'm not gonna diss it either. I don't like Ebony fretboards at all though, which this one is... But it's a tonal extra, so no reason not to use it. And hopefully replace the horribly Fender electronics.

It's actually Daz (washing powder) around the tuner that I had knocked over when I put the pedal down haha, but it smells nice so I rubbed it into the carpet... I believe it's called "student DIY"

BTW My feet are 11 2E, as in 11 in length, but 2E in width, and because I'm average in height, I look like a hobbit if there's no proper context

My new baby - Classic Player Telecaster Baja (Desert Sand)
Loving it! Haven't had a chance to play through an amp yet (unfortunately my amps are back in SA, so only have a Vox amPlug to jam through) but it has a great feel
The intonation on the 3 higher strings is slightly out, but I'll fix that over the weekend

Only thing I found that's bugging me is the jack female is a bit big? Or atleast compared to my Bass it is, the cable doesn't seem THAT stable, and I'm using a decent Neutrix jack, so :/

but worst comes to worst, I can fix it like I did my SX Les Paul (haha, cheap piece of crap)

Looking to get a Maxon OD-808 pedal for it next, though a Keeley TS808 wouldn't be too bad ?

Unfortunately back home I only have Bass amps, but I think my Ibanez 65 what with a 12" and a tweeter would work quite nicely? Can send a line out to the PA system from it, and use it as mostly a monitor
Other option is borrow my friends Line6 75 watt thing, but :3 mission!

May I just ask where you'll be playing that you need 500 Watts of power? ???

Bass amps are bigger than guitar amps dude. Get over it ?

It requires - someone correct me if I'm being very stupid - more power to shift the speakers the distances they need to go to produce those low frequencies and to do so vigorously enough to get real volume.

Yehp, bass amps need more wattage..... My bassist uses a 500 watt bass amp, and struggles to get over the 2 guitars still....... sometimes....

There is nothing worse than a band with a bass amp the size of a lunch box, and sounds like its farting

Ja I know they need more power, didn't realize it was quite that much... I figured a 200W bass amp would keep up with, say, 100W guitar amp. But I guess I'm not a bass player, so never mind!

Have you ever heard a Bass through an amp with less than 100Watts? The tones are terrible (I'd say even 200 is the minimum, but I like POWER~)

The 450 - 550 sorta range I find really nice for a lot of tones, but obviously that's for small to mid sized venues, if you're just running the stack off that

The Tiny Terror II has a lot of nice tones available on it, and it's only 4KG - so it's super portable
