Cool video.
The thing about guinness world book of record is that they pick a certain piece of music that would test outright speed the most. This guy played Flight of the bumble bee that was a fair choice I would think. The same as
the world record for fastes Banjo player was tested with the piece dueling banjos. It would be cool to see a test done on a single lick cycled over. About 350 would be the max I think.
So just practice flight of the bumble bee for a few years 2 hours a day and go beat the record.....if they will give you a chance

Aah that's Tiago Della Vega,
I don't know his full speed but he has a video of him doing 38 notes/s
Daniel owen:
Apparently does 48

Without being a spoilsport, but in the July issue of Guitarworld it had apparently been calculated on a certain structure that Shawn Lane, the fastest guitarist ever suppossedly, played 18 notes/second, and then a detailed list of other speedsters followed. So there goes the 40+ of the above-mentiond video. And commensense tells you that there's no way that 30+ notes could be played by a normal person.

If he had switched of his reverb, one could actually hear what he is playing......
Few years back i heard a rumour that steve vai held the record 26 notes a second, did believe so the person that i am went and tried it, i got about 14 notes per second when i played a cromatic run, so dont know about all these guitar myth stuff.
