Hehehehehe man this thread is awesome. Listen, it's NOT "just" a name. The very existence of this (very f^&*ing awesome might I add) thread is testimony to that.
Too many people try and overintellectualize the name of their band. That's not to say that something flippant like "Screaming foetus" or "Dead meat lice" or "The galloping dildos" is the way to go.
If you refer to my first post in this thread (and it IS an awesome thread), I sortof flamed you a bit for asking for suggestions. Apart from the inevitable piss-taking that happened, at the end of the day the name must mean something to you and not be an attempt to make it sound awesome and heavy and important and whatnot. There's a thin line between being introspective and being self-indulgent. It's YOUR name, FOR you and BY you. Not for other peeps.
Storm under control is a fine name... but it's got a kak abbreviation lol. And you can trust somebody on the forum to make the connection. Whether most other people will is another question. It depends I guess on how famous you get, in which case it would be a fabulous irony.
ETA what rocked my socks was that, without doubt, none of the members of your band made the connection to S.U.C, so I kind of imagined the crestfallen look on your face. And on the faces of your fellow bandmates when you drop the bomb on them. ?
