So, got back from honeymoon and my wife got a video clip one of the guests took with a digital camera of my song. I felt so bad at how BAD it sounded. She said she doesn't mind since it meant alot to her but when I practised, my singing and playing actually sounded OK'ish to my ear, but I might have a bad ear I guess.
I know digital camera video recording and sound quality is not great at all but, no amount of expensive equipment could have saved me there...
I guess chalking it down to nerves might soften it a bit ?
I will have to redo it at some point ? (damn this perfectionist in me >☹)
Just a point mate:
Recordings are horribly cruel things. When we record songs for the band, it's astonishing how awful they sound at first. It takes a lot of practice, a lot of retakes, a lot of tweaking etc. to get a recording that even sounds passable.
A digicam video clip is going to capture the sound very poorly too.
So, don't be too hard on yourself ?
