So yesterday i am at store and buy a couple of odds an ends and throw in the guitarist magazine as well...yeah i realised at 160 its a shed load of cash for...

Sad to say i am still battling to actually get a subscription in place with this lot. i have received an email from their friendly team which helped me nought.... to say that i am at the end of my tether is an understatement >☹

what a total abortion this site actually is even when entering a uk address i still cant actually complete a subscription order. >☹ >☹ >☹

i have sent the friendly team a rather unfriendly mail...... ?

I didn't really know what you guys were talking about until this morning. My brother just bought me the Jan 2011 edition of Guitarist Magazine, and I'm completely gobsmacked. It has everything one could ask for. What I love about it the most, is the Lick Factory, and the fact that there are different licks for different genre's. Like the jazz one for example. I intend on using that same lick when the opportunity arises. If they all like this, then I may too just start to subscribe.

BTW: Where do I go to see the video lessons?

Should be a CD wit hthe mag. plays on pc's etc.

? all 3 guitar mags, 2 'merican and guitar techniques. Must say i prefer Guitarist but they had none in store. great shop that .. i thought they had all closed down . at one stage these stores were popualr an all over the place but now i think thats the only one left.

jeepers , i was at Exclusive books the other day and saw they had guitarist magazine for sale ...R200-00 ...for a 5.5 pound magazine ...are they high?

I got hooked on them after I got that box load for free of a forum member, my mums in the UK and she buys me 1 month old ones, (still sealed with CD and any extras) for £1.50 and then sends them on to me for about £2.00.

1 month old for R40.00.........I can handle that.

How do you know she doesn't open them, rip the cd, scan the reviews and run through the lessons before re-sealing them and sending them to you?

What's the best way to subscribe to Guitar Techniques? I end up buying it most months at CNA but too often it's out of stock..

At around R80 an issue, delivered to your door, its by far the best method!
Its also what i have been doing for quite a few months now!
Though i dont subscribe! just buy issue for issue now!

just a heads up , Magz in Rosebank has FEb, MArch, April and May 2012 editions in stock , 72 ront each.

I think guitarist have an online Ipad option now but not sure if this is available in SA? (and I do feel spoilt that I have access to a lot of mags in the UK...)

Guitarist no longers comes with CD's you have to access the content online now. CD's were removed from edition 350. online is way way way better by the way
