Most probably a silly topic , but we used to do this a lot at school. Name your ten best albums (doesn't have to just be guitar) or Albums you would take with you to a deserted island! Mine would be- 1. Genesis - The lamb lies down on broadway 2. Led Zeppelin - Physical Graffitti 3. The Beatles - white album 4. The Who - Tommy 5. Yes - Fragile 6. Steeleye span - commoners crown 7. The Beatles - Revolver 8. Extreme - 3 sides to every story 9. Rush - Moving Pictures 10 Neil Young - Decade Could change next week though. Most probably gives my age away. These albums most probably changed my life.

Psean wrote Jeez, RATM! How could I forget to add their first album to my list.

Exactly the one I was thinking of!

Heish, I forgot about Nirvana as well ?

Delta-Male

I am well aware I might be stoned for this lol, but here's my list:

1. Sigh No More - Mumford & Sons
2. The Black Parade - My Chemical Romance
3. Only By The Night - Kings Of Leon
4. Come Around Sundown - Kings Of Leon
5. This Type Of Thinking (Could Do Us In) - Chevelle
6. MTV Unplugged In New York - Nirvana
7. American Idiot - Green Day
8. Dutch Courage - aKING (Something local in the mix)
9. Meteora - Linkin Park
10. Rising Tied - Fort Minor

Not the ten best albums by a long shot, but for some reason this is the music
I tend to playlist the most...

Current 10 best, in no particular order:

Psean wrote Hmmm. A tricky one.

Ten(ish) off the top of my head, in no particular order:

The Allman Brothers - At Fillmore East

Led Zeppellin - All of them

Clutch - From Beale Street to Oblivion / Blast Tyrant

Soundgarden - Badmotorfinger

The Rolling Stones - Let it Bleed/ Get Yer Ya-Ya's Out!

Smashing Pumpkins - The first three albums

Pink Floyd - Probably Wish You Were Here

Foo Fighters - The Colour and the Shape

Black Sabbath - Paranoid

Metallica - Master of Puppets

Could add lots more...

I think I need to add Dry by PJ Harvey as well as Animals by Pink Floyd

Bob-Dubery

OK... I'm going to make a late play. Do not infer any ranking. The numbers are just there to make sure I get in exactly 10, no more, no less

1: Mike Heron - Smiling Men With Bad Reputations
2: World Party - Goodbye Jumbo
3: Richard Thompson - More Guitar!
4: John Hiatt - Bring The Family
5: Joan Armatrading - Joan Armatrading
6: Richard & Linda Thompson - Pour Down Like Silver
7: Loudon Wainwright III - Last Man On Earth
8: Richard Thompson - Rumor and Sigh
9: Geoff Muldaur - Beautiful Isle of Somewhere
10: Gillian Welch - The Harrow and the Harvest

Now I'll push "post" before I change my mind, though I can't see changing 1,2 and 4 to 8.

Good stuff, my buddy Charl was their screamer and barker for a while, but I always thought they'd be soooo much better with a drummer who could, you know, play metal drums.

Nope, it isn't an album, I checked the details, its a compilation. But on it
Nobody's Home
Mean Streak
Wasted sunsets
hungry Daze
Unwritten Law
Mad dog
spanish Archer
Mitzi dupree ???
Woman from Tokyo
Child in time
Strange kind of woman
Highway star
SO ITS a "Top 10" compilation/ALBUM songs... ?
