I imported this amp from malaysia. It is a copy of a Matchless DC30 at a fraction of the cost.
Features:
2 channels
2 effects loops
hand wired, all valve
30/15
Tone switch for different voicings
master gain on 2nd channel. 2 inputs per channel

Got home a bit late so can't push it, but it certainly has plenty of tonal options. Build quality is great, packaged fantastic, shipped from Malaysia last Friday and delivered yesterday. Nik from Ceriatone's service is incredible. I even got some extra tube covers, tshirt and those little rubber rings should there be tube vibration. Fantastic experience.

Reinhard, you bought this pre-assembled? How was the cost compared to buying a name-brand amp? I've been interested in Ceriatone for a while (rather fancy a Marshall Bluesbreaker clone ?).

Thanks guys! Yes I got it pre-assembled. The entire amp including shipping cost me 7k tubes included, duty R760. I think on a combo shipping would be a bit more. If I remember correctly, you can check shipping costs on the site. And I again have to say, the customer service is fantastic.

I bought the clone, because I can't afford the real thing. The Matchless DC-30 list price was $3400, don't know what they go for these days. At this price I don't have to feel bad gigging it either ?

Matchless actually have an agent in Cape Town, but I shudder to think what they charge.

They are actually pretty good, most of the time they match US street with VAT and duties, same agents for Eventide, Radial and a bunch of Pro Audio lines.

They certainly have a great selection of amps. And the prices are well below name-brand - and that means about a quarter of name brand bought in SA >☹

It probably makes more sense to buy an amp head and have a cabinet built in SA, do you think?

Definitely, I'd say buy a head and get a cab locally, or have Karel Mars build you one.
