Hi All,

As some of you may know, I am a photographer. I have just launched my new website www.pietersaayman.co.za. I aim to update the site at least twice a month with articles about photography. Please go check it out, and if you are into photography, sign up for the newsletter.

I welcome any and all criticism, so please let me know what you think. Also, if there is any aspect about photography you’d like to have me write about, please drop me a mail.

I will pass this info on to my Wife , who has just got the Photography Bug.
We wanted to get her a SLR camera but the freaking lens's are so expensive. The guy at the camera shop reccomended that she start off with a bridging camera and see if she really wants to pursue as a Hobby.

We got a Fujifilm finepix HS-100 which has some SLR features(shutter speed etc) as well as a manual lens, can also take RAW pictures.

She just got it on Sunday, so some good beginner advice would be welcome ?

You get some of the best colour with the Fuji's, so not a bad start at all. She is more than welcome to contact me through the site. She also can send me some pics, and I'll reply with comments.

The little knowledge that I do have, I got from other people... so I am always happy to share

My goal with the site is to share my knowledge, so signing up for the newsletter is also a good idea. Next week I'm doing an article on photo composition.
