Good song. Nice tone.
I'll ask the question that is on everyone's lips: Can I download it for free when it comes out? ?
You Can.... as well as the last one we made...... totally for free..... infact if you come to a show, you can get a full DVD, which in the title asks you to pass it on to more people ....
So on the 15th on Feb I should expect you to download it and share it with all your buddies... and join the piracy
Scenario 1:
Artist: Here. You can have this for free. Be sure to let your friends make as many copies as you want.
Me: Gee... thanks!
Scenario 2:
Me: I want this. I'm not going to pay for it.
Artist: But this is my blood and toil and it cost me money. The idea is that you pay for it.
Me: Shaddupayouface! I'm going to copy it up the wazoo and give the copies to my friends. Then I'm going to make it available via multiple bit-torrent sites.
Scenario 1 is not piracy. Scenario 2 is.
Because you were the beneficiary of a scenario 1 situation doesn't mean that piracy is OK or that a scenario 2 situation is not piracy.
If Mika gives his own stuff away then that is his right. The trouble with scenario 2 and similar situations is that it makes assumptions about other people's work rather than allowing them to make their own decisions and respecting those.
