Could not help myself from posting this link. This bloke is just so funny.
Enjoy the clip, however this is exactly the thing that we have to weed out here in SA. As a proud Gibson owner I can only ask my fellow Gibson owners to report any of these fake guitars and prevent them from being sold on the open market here or on Gumtree. Judging by this video it seems easy to be fooled into thinking that it's the real thing. They just look so good!
As it is this Chinese seller (female) has been banned from trading, her workshops and websites closed down and she is going to appear in Chinese court, where she will be charged for falsely dealing in goods that is internationally protected as Gibson's "intellectual property" rights or something like that.
Another store called "Tradetang" has also been closed down and the owner (also female) is already serving a jail sentence in China.
So it looks like they will all be closed down shortly. I mean, the Chinese premier (I think that's what he's called) is actually currently in the US to discuss international trade agreements with the US, so I am sure these matters will be further discussed behind closed doors.
I reckon we shoul now all concentrate on getting the real thing in Josy!
PS: Now where can I get a VOS slim-taper honeyburst LP Standard? ?
LOL Excellent! No wonder he's wife left him! ? Loved the part where everything falls over!
