Let's have all the Genre's
My particular leanings would be acoustic, not the melodic lift music kind of thing, rather something to inspire me.

What good jazzy stuff, (not the melodic cinema intermission type thing either)
No boy bands please.

Remindes me of old Cynic, Athiest and Watchtower. Ron Jarzombek is a beast.

I would fully recommend Alterbridge's latest album, Blackbird. The stuff Mark Tremonti does on this album, is truly inspiring

dee

Yeah, definitely Alterbridge - Blackbird. It is a refreshing to hear something really different again. Myles Kennedy has such as awesome voice.

Something else that I really like is Airbourne. (http://www.airbournerock.com/) They are an Aussie rock and roll band, very much the same vibe and sound as AC/DC. Got the balls to match it as well.

Some others worth mentioning would be Bruce Springsteen - Magic, Avenged Sevenfold - Critical Acclaim

You mentioned acoustic stuff. Check out Newton Faulkner and Monte Montgomery.

Uhm, o yeah, did I mention Alterbridge?

Wessel

@ Gerald
