My musical preferences are old school to some extent - like Metallica (my main influence to start playing guitar years ago), In Flames, Ozzy, Tool, RATM etc. But I enjoy playing all types of music, I want to start playing some blues. My first mission now is to learn some scales and get the theory down as this is something that i've always overlooked.

More details - well I'm from Cape Town, work in the IT industry..but for an audit firm...can you understand why I need to escape my day job with music?? ?

Guitars - I still have my old beginner Jackson dinky I bought in '98, stock single coils, but EMG 81 in the bridge. But I got a Gibson Les Paul Studio recently, still getting used to the different body, requires a different style of playing.

Amps - Always wanted tube - but it's not practical living in a flat..so I picked a new Roland Cube 40x at Marshall the other day at a very good price. Will keep me happy for a while, everything you need to get going again, I especially like the looper.

So no, I'm not a drummer..my timing's not good enough hahah
