Another thing I want everyone to do, is to seek out many people's angles on different topics when it comes to theory. While it is important to form your own opinions, you must separate opinions from facts obviously. As much as I know about certain things, I STILL take every opportunity to watch my heroes explain them in their own way, and you can kinda get a mix out of what they say and what you already know (or didn't know).

Another great guy to check out on modes is Dave Weiner. Do a youtube search on Dave Weiner Riff of the Week. Very very cool, and Dave Weiner lessons on each mode. ? Here's his Intro to modes....

great videos! Joe Satch is really good. you can also check out Frank Gambale's Lessons on Modes. I really think that modes are very important in guitar improvisation. each modes provides a unique feel as though every person has a unique personality.
