How do I put a date to my Epiphone?

I'm trying to figure out the date on my Epiphone. It's a FAT-210, so the Strat-style, made in the far East.

The serial number is MG22050447, which then means, according to the websites I've been on, that my guitar was made in the Muse Plant, in China, in May 1922... ??? So either the sites are wrong, or the guy set the stamp wrong in the factory, or I've just come across something pre-dating most guitars! ?

That's a damn good question.
I hear that the new Epiphones are shoddily put together.
I have a Goth Explorer, s. no: S 6050219 made in Korea. {She is brilliant!}
I'm sure it's at least 15 years old, maybe more? ???

My Epi Les Paul is going to be 16 in June. Its a Korean model too, obviously...

Well if that's the case, mine must be fairly old. I'm sure I could bludgeon a troll to death with mine and it wouldn't mind.

It seems that up until around 2002 the Epi's were built in Korea under direct liscence to Gibson.
From 2002 onwards they were built in China.
The Korean built models are way more sought after, as they are, apparently of much higher quality.

Not 100% sure about that. According to that site mine is a 2003 Korean model, made in the Unsung (haha) plant.

Odd....maybe they were moving to China in 2003 but still producing in Korea? ???
