Well i have finally gotten around to this project, and after finding some nice curly maple at country woods, i thought i had better start.
So here goes...
Firstly i made up the jigs for the body..

You can see the indexing pins i have incorporated in the machine design clearly.
Next i made an outside profile of the finished guitar with a little extra all round to trim off the final body...
Then i cut one of the sapele boards into three, as i have three children i thought i`d better make one for each of them, different colors so they will know who`s is who`s....
Then i did a rear route on all the bodies....

Then i laid the outside profile jig and marked and band-sawed all three to shape...
That`s about all i did today, after i had done some other wood working so i can make money as well as playing...
Will continue tomorrow with the inside routes on the bodies as well as lightening them as well...
