Well i`ve finally getting around to doing something on this build.
Went to country woods for wood for a housing project i am doing and found in a new bundle of sapele mahogany a rare piece indeed, 3070mm long 450mm wide and 52mm thick chunk of wood, which i snapped up immediately at a hefty price of R1200, but these dont come around to often so if i had not bought it someone else would have.
Here it is cut in half and each piece should yield three bodies.
Here it is after thickness sanding down to 47mm
And here are two close ups with a nice grain structure.
So now all i will do is to stick it in my wood store on sticks for a few months and see how the wood changes if any.
