B.C. Rich Mockingbird Special?

Hey there,
I have an opportunity to buy a B.C. Rich Mockingbird Special for a good price.
The problem is it is from overseas and I can't play it.
Has anyone ever played it? Is it a good guitar? And how much does it worth?

Yes and no, its a vintage custom B.C Rich Stealth (not the reproduction ones but pretty much what he used I think) but all the hardware is identical. This particular one is thrashed and dinged with a rusty pickup and bridge (found the photos after a lengthly Chuck Schuldiner interview). I really like the shape of the Stealth and Chuck/Death was the reason I started playing in the first place. (I've also heard a few tracks by Rick Derringer the original designer of the Stealth on Youtube, pretty mellow stuff by comparison ?)

Its on my wishlist...

Define a good price?

Because prices on second hand mockingbirds can be anything from a few hundred $$ to a few thousand $$, depending on model, spec etc.......

I've played a SL mockingbird and I liked it..........a LOT. But the SL is one of the top models, neck through and floyd rose. It was for sale for about R15 000 (2nd hand).

A bronze series is cheap and nasty. Brand new I think they go for about R2500 + and that price is inflated for the local market, they're not worth more than R1500 (new) in my books.

Get a quote on shipping first though. I have a gibson explorer CMT coming over and I was quoted R1800 just in shipping it in it's case. That's excluding customs and duties. Get a quote on shipping first though. I have a gibson explorer CMT coming over and I was quoted R1800 just in shipping it in it's case. That's excluding customs and duties. Luckily my mom is coming over next month, so shipping is zero and my mom plays the guitar just in case there are any questions.......lol @ 64 year old woman playing an explorer.

My one friend is going to this country (Israel) for a wedding during December so I'm planning on getting it with him. And i'm not so much into weird shapes but I always wanted a mockingbird

I hear you, I've been waiting for over a year for a guitar to come from the UK. Just find out what mockingbird it is and if it's been modded in anyway, if it's a bronze..............then I dunno, not worth the hassles if you ask me.
