I enjoyed the sets yesterday and will make plans to be at the Plaasteater gig too. It was nice to finally meet some of the GFSA'ers (although it was just me introducing myself and not saying much more ... sorry for being so short, but I had a group of friends and didn't want to seem rude to them ... next time hopefully I'll get to say more than "hi").

Reinhard and Nick: I would really like to do that jam you guys mentioned ... please let me know when times work for you.

Great to meet Reinhard, Nick and Fritz finally (and we didn't even fight over Tokais vs. Gibsons ? ).

Really nice people - as seems to be almost routine when meeting GFSA'ers. Nick, many thanks for lending me your amp. I should have trusted my instinct and not believed the whole, "you don't need to bring your amp," story.

Great venue. We must do it some more. We just need a bigger PA now that we know there'll be people there to pay for it. ?

Rene/Singemonkey, when you guys did Need your love so bad ( I think that was the 2nd Fleetwood Mac number you did) I had goosebumps. Awesome stuff!

I should have gone with my gut instinct and taken the Marshall, the Deluxe Reverb got lost in the mix.

In the end a very cool show, always love you guys' set, Studebakers' vocalist just brings so much energy to the stage it is contagious. The vocalist from Diamond back is incredible. The young guys who started the show were really good for such a young group. Unfortunately I missed Cannons performance, but I know he always brings it ?

Both bands are schedules to play Plaasteater on Friday maybe we can select a couple of numbers for a big old jam session I'm sure our fans would like that as well.

The youngsters from Ballistic Blues ... big well done for letting them play. Amazing potential.

My only (very constructively intended) criticism: Studebakers brought so much (insane 8)) energy to the stage, it was virtually impossible for any act to follow them and not sound a little flat. Irrespective of chops and class, it was just a pure dynamics thing. I would slot them later in any line-up.

But what a show - kudos to all you guys. :woohoo:

I actually want to change what I said about Ballistic Blues, they aren't good for a young band, they are good full stop. Fantastic to see these young guys rocking a three piece.
