Hey what's up guys.
Any one here use Ableton Live 7 to record guitar? I seem to be having some trouble: When I plug my guitar into my Laptop in the 'Mic' input, the input device picks up my webcam or skype microphone instead of my guitar. Any suggestions?

I don't know Ableton, but as with any software, it should just be a case of setting the input options to record from the mic input and not the built-in mic.

on my version of ableton i went to options, preferences and then clicked on the audio input device Tab. when you plug into your laptop it may also be a good idea to go to the laptop sound card settings and disable the internal mic. Then go through the ableton rcording tutorial to set up your laptop so that latencies are minamised.
