Just saw this on Gumtree Cape Town:
Fender Deluxe Reverb Reissue (DRRI)
The guy is selling a mint condition DRRI for R9,500. If I hadn't just bought the Vox, I'd be all over this in a heartbeat. It's the modern version of one of the classic Fender amps that retail for something like R21K. The original is one of THE classic amps - modelled by every single modelling amp.
Some of the best Fender clean tones ever and arguably the best natural overdrive tone at a manageable power rating of 22W. Gives up the goodies on the volume control a lot sooner than a Twin (which reach bleeding ear volume before they start overdriving) but doesn't have as much clean headroom for the same reason. Oh, yeah... LOVES pedals too.
The reissue comes biased a little cold from the factory, so if it hasn't already been done, may need a little pro tweaking to take it from being great to being stellar. The stock speaker is very good, although some like to change them for models with a tighter low end when driven hard.
EDIT: I see the owner has already upgraded the speaker to a Jenson, so chances are he has already had it rebiased too.
