FAKE EHX SMALL STONE!!!

hi everyone
i had a nasty experience while i was in korea.
i went down to nagwon arcade. it is a massive music shop in Seoul in South Korea.
I was browsing around & then i saw an EHX NANO SMALL STONE PHASER.
I asked the guy how much it cost and it was around R800 so i bought it immediately.
When i got home i was so chuffed because i had also bought a Dunlop DC Brick for R1000 and a Korg Pitchblack tuner.
Later that night i decided to take it out of its packaging and then i just paused and had a look at the pedal and the picture of the pedal on the box.
The Colour switch and the status LED was in the wrong place. I just started 2 freak because i payed R800 for a fake pedal!!!!
The next day i went back to nagwon arcade and told the guy i want my money back and he said he didnt know it was fake. He even plugged it in to test it and it sounded like a Boss MT-2 mixed with a flanger!!!
So eventually after much persuasion i got my money back. ?
I bought a boss cs-3 and a boss sd-1 with that money.
I am just warning everyone if you go to a foreign country always check before you buy.

Maybe it could of been a manufacturing fault. Aside from the misplaced switch and LED, it looks identical. Makes one think ???

i dont think the second one is a fake , i seen one like it in an accredited store here in ZA

another thing that leads me to believe it is not a fake is that the fakers of pedals do so with the intent to trick you into buying their item so it looks the same , i have seen fake rolls royces as an example. this is an obvious difference thus i reckon its not a fake , however its uinteresting. seems the ehx site is down so i cant mail em either.

I emailed EHX with this and herewith the reply: (must say i was mighty impressed with EHX's prompt response , our local okes could learn a trick or 2 here about service) The bottom foto in the OP is the newer chassis whcih has been used in the small clone as well..sortof give their nano range soem form of continuity.

"We exchanged the positions of the LED and switch on the Nano Small Stone about 2 years ago. So all the old press photos have these two reversed.
