yes of course 335 is a jazz box...... 8) even tho it's used more for blues a jazz box is anything used in the jazz era ad ussually has f hole cut outs and is an electric with a hollow body ........ a semi acoustic (BUT NOT AN ACOUSTIC WITH A PICKUP)

i currently own 5 classicals (2 x Di georgia hand made brazillian made guitars 1972and 1974) (2x yamaha classicals a 1972 G120 ( my pawn shop special ) and a CG170S ) and 1x unknown 70's guitar with solid top but with a japanese writing on label so i'm waiting to find someone who can read japanese to tell me what it is???

It's a Yamaha - short span - circa 1970.

My Morgan OMR - which, it has to be said, just keeps on getting better and better.

My Larrivee LV-05. This was a bargain buy and I was going to sell it on and make a quick buck. Then I started playing the thing. Look, I like my Morgan a bit more but this is not exactly shabby.

I don't know how to categorise this one

It's steel but I don't play it on my lap. It's also not an oil can guitar. 4 strings but not a bass. Confusion reigns.

Yeah. There's a queue building up for that guitar too. I'm surprised somebody hasn't bumped me off by now.

However my will makes it clear that it goes to Mrs X-Rated, and if we die in a "joint calamity" then it goes to her kid. So "nyaaa nyaaa nyaaa" to all the would-be assassins.

Also note that Mrs X-Rated has already stipulated that if I dispose of that guitar she kills me ☹

About the same as the acoustic playing - IE slowly. The main reason I have that guitar is as a low-volume practice instrument. I like to use it unplugged when watching TV. It's not silent, but it makes a lot less racket than the the flat tops. I also sometimes play it in the early morning through the little amp into headphones. The skinny neck took some getting used to, and it's strung with 10s which are pretty light for me and sometimes lead me into thinking I can do all sorts of things that I can't do really.
